About me
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Automatic Control at the Division of Automatic Control, Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University, Linköping, Sweden, where I focus on the Control of Multi-agent Networks. I received my B.Eng. degree in Robotics Engineering in 2022 and my M.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering in 2024, both from the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam.
My research interests include networked multi-agent systems, learning-based control, and optimal control.

- Sep 2025: I started my Ph.D. in Automatic Control at the Linköping University, Linköping, Sweden, under the supervision of Prof. Claudio Altafini and Assoc. Prof. Martin Enqvist under the project “Mathematical Models of Opinion Propagation Dynamics on Social Networks”.
- May 2025: Our paper, “Event-based Reconfiguration Control for Time-varying Formation of Robot Swarms in Narrow Spaces”, was published in Intelligent Service Robotics.
- April 2025: Our paper, “Multi-goal Rapidly Exploring Random Tree with Safety and Dynamic Constraints for UAV Cooperative Path Planning”, was published in IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
- Feb 2025: I was awarded the title of Excellent Employee of the Year 2024 at VinAI Research.
- Jan 2025: Our paper, “Navigation variable-based multi-objective particle swarm optimization for UAV path planning with kinematic constraints”, was published in Neural Computing and Applications.
- Nov 2024: I successfully defended my Master’s thesis title “Distributed Control Strategies for Changing Multiple UAV Formation”.
- Oct 2024: Our product, “Fully Automatic Parking Assist”, developed at VinAI Research, won the Smart Parking Innovation of the Year award at Autotech Breakthrough Awards 2024.
- Jul 2024: Our paper, “Model Predictive Control for Optimal Motion Planning of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles”, was presented at the 2024 7th International Conference on Control, Robotics and Informatics (ICCRI), Da Nang, Vietnam (Best paper award).
- Apr 2024: Our paper, “Radial basis function neural networks for formation control of unmanned aerial vehicles”, was published in Robotica.
- Jan 2024: Our two papers, “Ant colony optimization for cooperative inspection path planning using multiple unmanned aerial vehicles”, and “Self-Reconfigurable V-shape Formation of Multiple UAVs in Narrow Space Environments”, were presented at the 2024 IEEE/SICE International Symposium on System Integration (SII), Ha Long, Vietnam.
- Dec 2023: I was honored to receive the Master’s Scholarship from the Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VINIF).
- Sep 2023: I started working as an Automotive Embedded Engineer at VinAI Research, Vietnam.
- Apr 2023: Our paper, “Lyapunov-Based Nonlinear Model Predictive Control for Attitude Trajectory Tracking of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles”, was published in International Journal of Aeronautical and Space Sciences.
- Dec 2022: I was honored to receive the Master’s Scholarship from the Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VINIF).
- Nov 2022: Our paper, “Deployment of UAVs for optimal multihop ad-hoc networks using particle swarm optimization and behavior-based control” was presented at the 2022 11th International Conference on Control, Automation and Information Sciences (ICCAIS), Hanoi, Vietnam.
- Oct 2022: I started my M.Sc. in Electronics Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam, under the supervision of Dr. Hung Pham Duy and Dr. Manh Duong Phung.
- Sep 2022: Our paper, “Adaptive fuzzy Lyapunov-based model predictive control for parallel platform driving simulators”, was published in Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control.
- Jun 2022: I successfully defended my Undergraduate Thesis with the title “Lyapunov-based Nonlinear Model Predictive Control for Trajectory tracking and Navigation of a Four wheeled omni-directional Mobile Robot”.
- Aug 2018: I started my B.Eng. in Robotics Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam.
